i feel really good about the progress we have made.

During todays afternoon rehersal, we have finished the script, timing of sounds and have very nearly mastered all our stage directions/movement.

thing we need to work on is learning our lines. & make some final decisions regarding costuming.

we do need to find someone who is willing to do the sounds for us and this cant be a teacher, someone in our class or someone in our HSC year.

finished the sounds. finally.

the sounds we are incorporating go for roughly 25 seconds which should be long enough to do our entire first part.

these sounds consist of:

  1. car driving
  2. car screeching
  3. car crash
  4. ambulance
  5. HeartMonitor
  6. EKG Flatline
  7. Deffibrilator
  8. Continuation of EKG Flatline.

the only thing we need to sort out is “are we going to include ALL CLEAR (our theme/topic) into it and how are we going to do that?” since i cannot find a sound for that anywhere.

I also need to create a 10 second maximum sound for the ending which should be the EKG Flatline & the Heart Monitor.

Ok group,

compared to our class we have done alot for our group performance but after researching for the study lesson i have relised we are way behind. A lot of groups around australia are now at the stage where they are performing for large audiences to see their reactions. Unfortunatly the only people we have shown is half the class and miss wright. It technically isnt our fault we do try our best and we are making some progress. we already stay back twice a week and we cant do much more. erghh i dont not we can do to help us get a move on.

things we need to complete like soon

  1. finish script
  2. work on staging
  3. encorporating physical theatre
  4. finalising performance
  5. performing for an audience.
  6. ask audience questions about how they felt about our performance- critical
  7. performance night
  8. finalise logbook
  9. :)

Things we need to do before our examination at the end of this term in front of miss wright

  1. time the performance- make sure its between 8-12 minutes
  2. do we have a written script that we can give to someone who is doing production
  3. have we checked on all production and rehersed all aspects
  4. prepared logbooks
  5. checked all transitions and make sure they all work
  6. costume check

This is the HSC timeline for group performance. we are currently slightly behind. but if you consider that there is an extra week this term.

The HSC says that we should start scritpwritting in term 3, we did that half way through the term so we are ahead in that area.

Weeks 1-4: is choosing the topic, brainstorming and preparing characters.

Weeks 5-8: developing the performance, focusing on a particular topic and developing scenes. WRITING AND REFLECTING IN LOGBOOK

Weeks 9-10: performance for drama night a chance for feedback and evaluation

TERM 3

Weeks 1-4 : finalise script, check production effects (keep minimal), check logbook, check and sign examination paperwork

Week 5: Drama HSC Pratical examinations

Operation of technical equipment

such as lighting can only be carried out by other students in the school who are not HSC students. Teachers, or members of the public, are not permitted to operate technical equipment. A stage crew of students who are not HSC students may be used to set and remove props.

we need to find a student in the school that can be trusted enough to do our sound effects. its a big job LOL

progressing. adding to our script but chantelle’s unfortunetly not here so we have to pretend she is and it sometimes doesn’t work out well. we should have this done really soon but again unfortunetly i don’t think thats going to happen. it’s time to start timing it, and showing our teacher to see where we are going or where we could be going.

finally moving on & deciding what to do with our HSC group peformance.

after about half a lesson of still deciding what we want to do, we got up and began to be practical by getting up and putting words into actions.

after one or two more lessons of some practical movement, maybe we can start working on a script.

 The O.C Season 4 x Episode 7 The Chrismukk-huh?

Chrismukkah once again returns to the Cohens. Ryan and Taylor have an accident while putting up the holiday lights and they end up in a sort of parallel universe, where all is not like it is meant to be, since Ryan does not exist. While - in the real world - everybody is worrying about them, except Taylor’s mom, they eventually manage to fix things, also thanks to a letter from the past.

Charmed Season 4, Ep 8 “Brain Drain”

The Source sends a chameleon demon into the manor that Cole unmasks, but not before he has lurked around at least three days as a lamp spying out the girls’ secrets. Why he wants the information and what he wants to do with it becomes a hot topic of debate. The Source then kidnaps Piper after setting an ambush in an alley and alters her perception of reality: she wakes up seemingly in an insane asylum called “Halliwell Hospital” where she has no powers, and Leo is one of the attendants. Paige and Phoebe are fellow patients, and where Prue was a patient who was healed and left while the attending psychiatrist is the Chameleon demon, Graft. He has discerned that her deepest secret is that she never wanted to be a witch, and having captured her to the underworld she is being ensorcelled by the demon and the Oracle.  Her sisters must find a way to stop her from giving up her powers to the Source, while the three or more days the demon had spied in the house has armed him with some realistic and underlying guesses at their psychic weaknesses and fears, which he stands on their heads in order to break down Piper. 

basically this is one of the ideas i was talking about. its a cliffnotes of the episode.

change of plans?

so, our group has had a change of plans.

no army. no jail/prisoner ideas. really, no plan at all. just alot of good ideas.
ideas that were unfortunetly not agreeing on, & that needs to change, fast.
we discussed the pros & cons to both our previous ideas and eventually realised how much these ideas constricted us.

we have come up with plenty of other great ideas. these include:   

  • Ajax - a parody of an infomercial.
  • All Clear - being in an accident & waking up to find yourself in a dreamworld where everything is completley different to reality. at the end they wake up & find what they had just experienced had been completely fake.
  • ??? Parody of a Gameshow- Survivor/Amazing Race Type Thing.

really hope we figure this out.. & soon.

“Did you do the drama h/w?” “Nah, I had Kate’s party.”

so this was a producive study lesson. LOL :) people are bonking in the bathroom apparently. steph and maddy leave their DNA all over the place. tara has a little notebook and it’s pretty cute. blue, actually. we rate it.

things which can be incorporated into both army and prison themes:

psychopathic character (“kill all them foreigners!”/no regrets killer)
innocent one (conscription/ framed)
one main setting (army barracks/ prison cell)
fully sikk costumes (commando+face paint/ jumpsuits)


hmmmmm.

we need to organise a day after school to start coming up with ideas.
